If using the 2 Vision +, rather than using a phone or tablet, would one of these connect for viewing live flight video via the 5.8Ghz??

Or am i mistaking this as the controller works on the 5.8Ghz and camera via wifi. so does that rule out the above being on same frequency.

Yes your bird flys on 5.8
2.4 is your transmitter signal for FPV . I know very little about the PV & + but I think you need the app to make things work I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong about the app .

Hi there.
The Vision & Vision+ both use wifi to transmit the video, not a straight video link - as used for most FPV solutions. This means that you need to use a wifi enabled smart device to receive and display the signal.

If your smart device has an MHL port (An adaption of the USB port) you can "scrape" the video image as an HDMI compatible connection and display this on goggles or a screen, so it is possible to do what you want to do.
