I'm new to the Drone and I'm wondering. If I'm in my regular GPS Flying mode can I fly over water? I'm not talking about flying 10 to 30 feet over it, more like 90 ft or higher. Is it ok to fly over water retention pond at about 90 ft is my question.

Yes, no problem. I fly over lakes, ponds, the sea - more than over land.
If your phantom drops from 90 feet it's toast. If it drops into water, it's (soggy) toast.

However, a word of caution, in the UK at least, water authorities are a bit narky about flying over reservoirs, because of the risk of lithium contamination in drinking water.

Thank you. I know if you are flying low you have to turn off the bottom sensors, I heard anyway. But was thinking if you are high enough you'll be ok.
