Has anybody flew while is was raining?
How does it affect the phantom in time?
Will it crash due to shortcircuit?
How will the footage look like?
Will the propelers throw the rain drops away?

Don't fly when it's raining. The Phantom is not weather-sealed and you risk crashing it and/or permanently damaging it.

The phantom in the above video was liquipelled on all it's inner electronics... so I wouldn't go off half baked and try that with a stock phantom... but... tape over the vent holes on a cool rainy day? I bet that would work out alright as long as you don't run thru multiple batteries and heat things up too much.
