Flying In Spain

I'm going away on holiday to Mallorca and really want to take my Phantom with me - however I can't seem to find any clear materials which state flying for recreational purpose/hobby is permitted. (There is many an article on the use of 'drone' or commercial use being disallowed).

Has anyone had any experience flying in Spain or know of any backup documentation?

I didn't have any documentation but flew daily in Spain and Portugal -
I did some research and did not find anything saying no . Dont try to fly in Gibraltar - very strict no

Thanks Mohan - did the Police/Guardia Civil ever stop you? - my lack of Spanish naturally wouldn't help matters if they did take interest in my flying...

No but I never did anything to get them wound up. Airport, customs not bothered. Local residents were ok. Mainly flew over coastal areas and top of hills.

I am in spain and have no issues but I also stay away from town etc.

Be aware of flight paths for the Island before you launch.
