How about flying in areas rich with iron ore. May it affect the compass?

I have experienced some compass errors making my Phantom spin 360 degrees, turning slightly left while trying to fly straight and slightly swinging back and forth.

I believe that the area of the events is rich with iron ore.

Thanks!

The effects of flying over an iron ore body would probably be not much at all.
The Phantom flies normally within the earth's magnetic field.
An iron ore body might slightly change the earth's magnetic field so that a compass would point a few degrees off.
That shouldn't make much difference to a Phantom.
If the Phantom was flying at normal heights, no effect would be expected.
The possibility for some effect would be highest at the launch point - where the compass would be closest to the ground - but only if the launch point had a strong magnetic field.

More information would be needed to tell about your flight.
Go to DJI Flight Log Viewer - Phantom Help
Follow the instructions there to upload your flight record from your phone or tablet.
Come back and post a link to the report it gives you.

Also can you give more details about what happened on your flight and what the launch spot was.
