can someone tell me the best way to increase flight time without affecting the dji flight balance the flight time is so poor

Which Phantom ? Which battery ? What times are you getting ?

Thats about right - The 2700 battery will get you 11 minutes ( approx) - Add another minute or two with 9443 or 9450 props .
I get 8 minutes out of my FC40 with gimbal, go-pro-alike , big bandy legs, 9443 props and 2700 hanging out the back to counterbalance the gimbal/camera ..

Here's the pic...

Ya. I had very poor flight time. Everything stock. I haven't flown in a couple months, been to busy. But might take it out tonight. 8 min unfortunately seems about right.

You could adjust the voltage cut-off levels a LITTLE! in the Assistant Software as they are set very "conservative" as stock....this will allow you a little longer but don't go too low or can damage the lipo the lowest you can go on a 3cell lipo is 9.6v that's 3x3.2v so i have level 1 set at 10.7 and level 2 set at 10.0 longest flights I get on a stock 2200 lipo are 11 mins :) thats was as a stock FC40 with camera, mine now has a few extras running on the lipo, DJI Groundstation, H3-3Dgimbal and videotx with mini osd, 9443 props so it now a lot HEAVIER but I still get 9mins with stock lipo. I usually land before the 1st cutt-off as I can see the flight time and my voltage levels on the OSD ...

This is the 11min flight done to "extreme limits" !!!! http://www.rotoryrocket.co.uk/more/dji- ... ght-3-6km/
This was with the Groundstation-and a non gimbal Go-Pro

Aircraft Configuration:
FC40 camera & stock holder
3 1/2 prop guards
Battery door & hinge pin removed

Flight Conditions:
Elevation: 4,530 msl
Temperature: 56 f
Station Pressure: 25.106
Dew Point: 27 f
Density Altitude: 5,230 feet/1,594 meters
Wind: NNW @ 10 to 15 mph

Battery = Turnigy Multistar 4.0 4000mAh 3S 11.1volt 10C discharge (about 6 flights since new)
Flight time: 10:50 Ending Voltage (after 4 hours): 11.45 Flight activity level: Moderate/High
Flight time: 10:10 Ending Voltage (after 4 hours): 11.44 Flight activity level: Moderate/High
Flight time: 10:05 Ending Voltage (after 4 hours): 11.56 Flight activity level: High

So, with prop guards, and the FC40 camera I was getting 10:05 to 10:50 at a density altitude of 5,230 feet.
High altitude = thin air = more work for the motors compared to flights at sea level.

Some modification of the battery compartment is required.

9 minutes with prop guards on a windy day and 10 and a half on a calm day with the guards on. Timer starts when I lift off and stops when it lands by itself.

Just got my fc40, bone stock with camera, 1st flight I got 16 min until 1st warning kicked in. After I was at 14 min and now down to 12 min and staying. Stock battery 2200mah no prop guards stock blades stock everything. I am at around sea level tho if that matters that much. I wasn't going crazy but I did take her up to about 200 yards or so and hold her there. Kept wifi signal the whole time using my Kindle fire. The Kindle gets way better wifi than my samsung galaxy s5. It seems as if I charge on 1amp it lasts another minute or so
