Can anyone tell me what synchronisation does in flight logs

I think it sync flights from all devices, for me it sync iPhone and iPad. Most of the time I use iPhone.

It makes sure that all devices have the same info. Device with new info shares it with other connected devices.

It connects through "the cloud" for example I have note 4 which I use when flying. When I get home I also have the GO app on my Ipad. I then have to synchronise on my note 4 to upload to the cloud and then synchronise on my Ipad to download the info from the could to my Ipad. Hope that makes sense!

Trying to figure out how to change the date in Flight Records. It shows last May. Any ideas? Also any links that show this new editing info?. I guess Director is gone or changed.
