Thanks for the kind comments! Danville is about 10 miles away (17 miles driving by car) from this site. This quarry is called Hanson Aggregates Mid-Pacific where they crush stones into gravel. I never realized they had water at the bottom of the quarry until I flew my Phantom 3 over the site.

thanks, we had Hanson named quarries around here also, but all sold out to larger groups
I remember my aunt telling me about mt diablo, they refer to it as their mountain......but
i never knew it had a quarry on it!
how are you for water where you are?

Mt Diablo is 10 miles from the Delta - which feeds directly into San Francisco Bay.
