Flashing green lights on phantom 2 after being ready, loses signal after a few seconds

So I turn on both receiver and drone. I click right switch 5 times and calibrate the drone by turning with it and until it becomes green.
But when I put it down ready to fly it flashes green slow.
So I fly it anyways but then it loses signal seconds later and then does its failsafe to go 60 feet in air then minutes later it lands.
I was only 3 meters away.

Is it the receiver ?

Do you do 2 turns when calibrating, or just one?? Do you do horizontal and nose-down turns?
