I had a bad crash and scratched the crap out of the lens of my gopro. For those of you that dont want to send your gopro off or are not comfortable trying to replace lens themselves I found something that worked for me.
I wish I would have taken a before pic of my lens but that ship has sailed.I have a gopro silver edition, the lens is acrylic.I took a small buff and put it in my flexshaft{or dremel tool if you have one}and with watch crystal polishing compound was able to remove all the scratches and they were deep.I figured if I messed it up I had to replace it anyway but it worked.
This isnt the stuff I used but its all probably about the same

Re: Fixing the scratched lens of your GoPro without replaci

Good tip! After crashing my Phantom into a rock I was able to remove a bad scratch from the lens of my Drift HD camera. I wish I'd known about watch crystal compound as I used common buffing compound and a bench buffer. It took a lot of buffing but saved the camera.

How about this stuff: http://www.amazon.com/Jewelers-Supermar ... B00634K1PG
