first time over water

did a flight over water today my first one. I have edited the vid on my surface pro 3 with movie editor app but when I upload to you tube the quality drops and I don't know why.please advice if you know how to edit then upload with no loss in quality. thanks steve.

What's the editor apps name?

I can see that the youtube video is only at 360p which means the exported video is only at 360p - which is why you are getting the low quality. So it's got to be the editor's export settings that is causing this.

One final thing - are you capturing the video (for your edit) from the microSD card and not directly from the DJI Go app?

Thanks for the reply. The app is whats on my microsoft surface pro 3. So i think its microsofts own. And i do take the footage from the memory card.

Is it this app? PowerDirector Mobile Video Editor – Bundled – Windows Apps on Microsoft Store

If that is the app - it looks like you need to activate it to be able to export to a higher resolution. I'm not sure what the activation cost is for this particular app. check if there is an activation link and click on that to check what the pricing is.
