First post!

Welcome! Very good video, especially for an early attempt. You will see a lot of posts on here about phantom problems, but most can be avoided by having a good preflight routine. I suggest the following:

Check props for cracks and prop nuts for tightness
Make sure battery is fully charged
On startup, pay attention to the led indicator and do not take off until you have 6 or more sattelites locked on, no red flashes, and you have seen the rapid green flashes that tell you you have home posion lock.
Do the dji compass reset dance often, I do it every flying session, and if your phantom does something odd in flight, or crashes, do not fly it again until you have connected it to the pc and checked the health of the naza controller.

Do all that, every time and you should have a happy flying experience.

Good luck!

fantastic advice for all of us!

I think it's well worth the investment to do these simple checks - as a newbie to the phantom i fear the flyaway - but it's been quite good so far following what you suggested above. I have my fingers crossed and i'll keep up with the pre-flight checks!

cheers,
Telemole
