Hi Guys,

Just came back from testing FW2.0.

Flew 3 full batteries.

First observations:

1. Yaw correction much more intensive than before. A lot of left-right correction while flying forward. (No wind today) Despite my adjusted gains from FW 1.08 which compensated quite well.

2. Subjectively shorter flight time. Haven't measured it yet though. Tomorrow...

3. Very very odd, SPEED ! Sometimes it flies 20 m/s sometimes just 6 m/s and in between 10-14 m/s, all in GPS mode. Tried all directions, variations etc to make sure. Always the same. And in ATTI mode, the same thing again, just sometimes it flies even faster at 23-24 m/s and then just 10 m/s. Very strange...

4. All in all less stable than before. Took some videos, basically useless.

5. Descending is smoother though.

All in all, not very happy. Its not a disaster but definitely not an improvement either.

Anyone wanting to share their experience ?

I didn't even get that far. Could not get a compass lock no matter what. Thought I had, flew, almost crashed!

Rolled back to 1.8 and everything is perfect again (apart from the left drift!)

Never again will I update on day one!

Oh man. I was so excited to update tonight but now I guess I'll have to wait for further consensus.

Check your compass mod values. You may have inadvertently magnetized your compass at some point and me need to degauss it.

Went through all that in software. Degauzed etc. Still no joy. Back on 1.8 and all is absolutely fine.

 the firmware can be downgraded? How?

This left/right correction (in ATTI) is the problem I've been having all along. That and shake. Basically useless footage. I truly think its defective in some way. Not sure what FW I have but I didn't update today.

I just used the older assistant software.

How would one know if their values were not correct? How does one degauss one's compass?

Thank goodness it's nothing as complex as the iPhone [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND TIGHTLY-CLOSED EYES]

Go to the tools tab in the assistant software and hover your mouse over the ?. This will display a popup showing valid ranges for the compass, gyroscope & accelerometer.

Here is a video from DJI with the info in:-
