Firmware on new batteries

With all the confusion and conflicting stories about the latest firmware updates. I have not updated my RC or AC since I bought it a little over a year ago.

I think it is running version 1.10.9. I do not have it with me at the moment but can easily check.

If I buy another battery from EBL (Amazon UK). do I need to be aware of any potential problems matching the firmware on the new battery with the existing setup?

If you want to ensure the battery is up-to-date, you can place the BIN for your current firmware on the root of the Phantom's memory card and start up your Phantom with the new battery installed.

The battery and AC won't care ... only if the battery FW is older than the AC will it possibly ask for update / correction.
