Firmware no fly zone

I live right in a no fly zone bubble. Am I able to update my firmware in the bubble or is everything restricted while in the zone ?

The no fly zone doesn't stop you from updating, just flying.

That’s what I was asking. I hadn’t turned my drone on in a while and I for sure thought there would be an update I had to do. But nothing alerted me or told me there was an update available so I assumed it wasn’t pushing it through because I was in a no fly zone.

When you start it up, if you are in a no fly zone, is should tell you.

There are no updates that you 'have' to do - it's purely your own preference if you think there is a new feature you may want, or a bug fix that will correct an issue you have.
Don't ever feel that you have to update in order to fly...

I have no problems updating firmware and I am in a non controlled towered airport under 5 Miles. I can fly in the area after I agree to the restrictions that come up on your control screen. I am learning has I go also. Hope it helps, Mackey P4
