Hi all
I know this has been touched on in previous threads, but just to clarify..
My bird has started splicing the video into chunks. I am now aware of this 4gb file limit but I was not getting this before and I had recorded single videos of 15 mins plus. Now the videos are getting spliced around the 9 minute mark...
I have formatted this card in the past in both the PC and via the app and it seems something has changed.
Is this 4gb limit set in stone or is it a matter of Fat/Fat32 etc?
Is it beneficial to format using the PC vs app?
I preferred it when the files weren't spliced.

Thanks

4gb is filesystem limit for single file size on FAT32. Phantom also supports exFAT filesystem which doesn't have that limit but it will still split video @ 4gb chunks.

You probably changed the video resolution in which you're recording, which changes the number of minutes you can record before hitting the 4GB limit.

The only thing that has changed is the resolution that you were using.

Ok that is pretty conclusive.
I have messed about with the resolution settings in recent weeks so that would explain it.
