If I need to do, I will make a slit to let it go on its side edges for better grip and safety and a hole in the middle just to take it out with thumb and index finger.

The actual slot for the card is used to grip to remove it. Its solid out no way it will come out itself

Should get a small soft pouch for your media and put it in there and drop it in a million places. Might as well get a small bag because you need things like lens cleaner, pens, filters, etc but yeah, 4 bats is what it can carry with a little scraping.
