After a mishap with my P3 Pro sent it to be repaired. They said it would be 8 weeks. So I purchased another P3 pro. however, the 2 batteries I had for the old P3 pro cause it to hover in a small in circle and seems to be difficult to fly. I believe the old P3 and batteries were before firmware update. How do I update the firmware on the 2 batteries? HELP!

I don't think that's being caused by your batteries. Here are the firmware installation instructions though:

All my firmware is up to date on the new P3 and the new battery, Don't the old batteries need to be updated? When I went back to the newest battery, it was stable and easier to control

All batteries should be updated to whatever firmware version you're running on the Phantom. Like I said though, that likely has nothing to do with your problem. Do the last step at the above link
