I have tried today to make some experiments regarding video edit. I have exported one 15 min video in GoPro Studio in 30 Mbit mp4 quality and it got 3300 Mb size. Then I made 8 Mbit shitty quality for YouTube and that is a disgrace what youtube is doing to the uploaders, we upload 30 Mbit and they lower the bitrate to 8 Mbit so I made 8 Mbit video to see how bad it is. Can we upload anything over that 8 Mbit limit on Youtube ? I have seen some sick videos there, how ?
But then I have opened this 30 Mbit video in Handbrake and exported it in mp4 but with x265 codec. It took loong 1 Hour to export it but if I have noticed it correctly, the quality remained the same like in 30 Mbit video but the size went from 3300 Mb to 925 Mb !
Am I missing something or I should always export in GoPro Studio in 30-40 Mbit mp4 and then throw it in Handbrake and make myself x265 video with 3-4x smaller size for my video library ? I dont want to lose quality and I think that I dont when I do this.
