Ex google employees have funding to build a drone that navigates by what it sees, not GPS.

Wow that video is amazing...this is the first(that I have seen) sense and avoid technology in a drone. I loved how it went through the trees, avoiding all the branches.

I wonder if it is an optical device or ultrasonic or both. It is easy to detect a tree but a wire or small branch with no leaves would be tricky.
