will the motor esc off the phantom 2 work on the phantom 1 .phantom 1 esc seem
hard to find.

B&H photo has them for the P1. Dronefly also sells P1 parts.

They can work on a P1, but they're not a straight swap.

IIRC they are different connector, so you have to either chop or solder. You will lose your orientation LED;s either way....
