I'm trying to found out: could and how much will harm battery modifying old pc power supply to be P3 charger.

Mod should be really easy, basically just make sure that power supply is running when turned on, (that's usually just connecting two poles) and find combination of wires to produce as close as gets to 17.5V

more info how to get 17.5V from all those red/yellow/black coloured wires.

50$ or so is not pile of money but I bet many peps got lot's of old un-used power supplies that could be turned into custom battery chargers. and check this out: it would be interesting to see/check how good is DJI charger vs some old modded "proper" PC power supply. I bet PC supply would deliver more stable current.

Thanks for any opinions!
hope i'll get some free time next weekend and test this.

The charging phase is where you'll find the majority of LiPo 'issues' (fires) occurring.

The nature of DJI's battery interface is to make it safe and easy for casual users/consumers.

These types of threads just need a bit of fair warning to those who may not have experience with power supplies and LiPos.

It can be dangerous.
