Have you noticed that if they don't have a pic of the actual drone they almost always use a Phantom. They have the drone...why not picture it? Also how many phones could a small drone carry while being equipped with prop guards, camera and gimbal?.

They have the drone so it should be a simple matter for the FAA to use the registration to track down the owner. Yet another problem solved by the FAA!

Haha, yeah it is the same as guns, laws only apply to those who abide by them.

DJI has/is adding prison's as locked out no fly zones... as they should be. I'm betting this was a small "toy" drone.
