Does anybody know the difference between "Ready to fly (GPS)" and "Safe to fly (GPS)"?

I was purchasing a phantom 4 that was being demoed to me and when the person was flying it, the app displayed "Safe to fly (GPS)".

The next day I went to go fly it in the same spot and the display reads "Ready to fly (GPS)".

My question is what is the difference between the two?

During my flight I had 17 satellites. Another thing to note is that the "follow-me" mode would not work because it was in "ready to fly" and not "safe to fly"

Thank you

Are you sure you were in Phantom (P) mode the second flight? If you were in A mode, you'd be flying without GPS but GPS would still be available for RTH.

Agreed Marknmd, same thing happened to me until I realised I had knocked the mode selector switch whilst dragging it out of the carry case. You need P mode for the follow me function. Ended up putting reminder stickers on both the drone and controller.
