Do Props Wear Out?

I've been happily flying a couple of months. Maybe I've been lucky, but I've had virtually no issues/problems except one occasion of drifting which was fixed with a fresh compass dance. No crashes and one gentle tip over into grass. Props look good. So my question - if you don't have any nicks do the props theoretically last forever, or do they wear out even if not damaged?

Apart from leading edge damage from contact with something, they will eventually succumb to fatigue from the high rpms and vibration (even well-balanced you can't eliminate it all). Check them for damage as part of your pre-flight check (including a bit of flexing to check for hairline cracks) and if in doubt, replace. Compared to the cost of a replacement aircraft they are quite cheap!

Thanks pull. Wasn't worrying about costs, just wondered if they had an 'expiration date' I'll keep checking them.

Only if you fly into a very heavy sandstorm.
