DJI Phantom 3 4k to Belizw

I want to take my drone from US to Belize. I have a carrying case so I am going to check it. I already know I have to carry on the battery but will customs still check for the drone??

Please if you have taken your drone from the US to other countries please tell me about your experiences.

There are tons of posts on this topic. Several people have had several experiences with different airlines. Best bet is to check your airlines policy. I personally called mine. Had to wait an hour to talk to someone but eventually got through. I can confirm with allegiant air there are no restrictions.
