I calibrated everything correctly (I think). Before I take off, everything flashes correctly. However, once I attempt to take off by holding the left stick up (even at maximum power), the propellers seem to push down and the light turns red rather than staying green. Any suggestions?

Bad or discharged battery, or failing power lead at either XT-60 crimp or main board solder joint.
It just sounds like the battery is not being sensed as having the reserve current being demanded.
