ISSUE-Description:

RC + Repeater: latest Firmware, Full Batteries, turned on: OK

Drone: latest Firmware
- Full Batteries, turned on: OK
- After boot Sequence gimbal moves into correct position.
- LED @Gimbal: steady green
- SSD Slot: 4GB fat32 formatted card, verified OK on Computer before.

Application: dji-vision 1.0.58 (latest) on GalaxyNote2
- Wlan Connection to Phantom = OK
- App Startup & SignIn OK;
- App Settings: change parameters = OK:
- format SD card: Error: "No SD Karten"
- App Camera: OK:
- WifiBooster: 80%
- Wifi Connection: 4 Bars
- App Camera: Issues:
- no picture shown (on any preview resolution).
- 0 pictures left, battery 0%, no satellites, no speed, no altitude, no distance, and no compass
- Drone-Battery: 0% (despite DroneBattery flashing with 4 Bars)
- SD-Card: not available (despite FAT32 formated SDcard in Slot; tried 3 cards)
- On Taking Picture: Error: "No SD Karten"
- On Taking Video: "Error: No SD Karten"
- On using the Cam-Slider: Up/down, the Gimbal does not react.
however using the GimbalControl-Wheel on the RC moves the gimbal just fine.
- Tests with other Phone (Galaxy5) showed the same result.

The behaviour started after having done the latest upgrades a week ago.
Questions:
- Anyone experienced a similar Problem yet?
- Do you think the Problem is rather software- or hardware-related?

Thanks upfront for your help.

Try two things, first check the plugs from copter to the gimbal, make sure they are plugged I. And tight. See if that fixes the problem, sometimes vibration loosen them. If that doesn't. Next remove the app. Re download it from DJI and then test again. Let us know the results.
Also make sure Bluetooth is turned off, some reports of confilicts white that on.

RoyVa, Thanks for your Tips.

> "Re download it from DJI and then test again. Let us know the results."

Already performned: Removed App-Data, Removed App, Re-installed App = no results.
Also tried two other phones with plain installed App = no result.

> "Also make sure Bluetooth is turned off, some reports of confilicts white that on."
Done; also disabled Mobile-Data = no result.

Will check the Cables then.

Meanwhile:
I tried to upgrade the Camera Firmware according to the README.txt in the package:
FC200_firmware_v1.3.0g.zip
via SD-Card which apparantly failed as the .bin file was not renamed.

The App-About-Dialog only reports n/a about the Camera-Version.

I feel the SD-Cardreader may be defect; however this defect wont explain all the errors.

Any further ideas?

Try the upgrade of the firmware. Put the card in your laptop I'd you have a ad adapter, rename the file as per the text file. No other files on the card. Insert it in the camera and power it up. See if it will read the card and do an upgrade. Watch the light on the camera and see if it goes to green from red flashing. Do you have another SD card to try? Let us know.

RoyVa,

Ad cables: All Cables and connectors look properly fixed, re-assured that by pushing them all a little; unfortunately no improvement.

ad) Upgrading Cam Firmw.:
Tried 3 different cards, fat32 no other files than the renamned .bin file.
unfortunately no improvement.
I observed, after power-on:
- Cam-LED dark (repeatedly)
- Only once: Cam-LED constant green, but on pressing the shutterbutton on the cam LED went dark.
- The App still reporting "no Card".
I observed not:
- Cam-LED being red; neighter after boot, nor later on.

So I guess the SD-Slot and the Cam Controller are somewhat defekt, or some cables are broken / loose.

Interesting though:
a) the gimbal works fine: stabilizes after boot and moved in case the phantom ist moved manually.
b) the cam-subsystem "lives" in that it's pingable and I can ssh into it as [email protected]/123456.
c) the main-system 192.168.1.1 however does not show the sd-card, which I guess should be found at /mnt/sda1/
d) connecting the cam-module via USB to my PC, no volume shows up.

Any ideas where this might lead me to?
kind regards pogo

SD card did it again! A few weeks ago I posted about my V 2.0 losing video signal and control of gimbal. After removing card all was well. Today in an effort to video the sunrise I quickly removed my SD card from the computer and again repeated the problem. After reformatting it it all worked. Apparently my haste to get the card without properly going through the eject procedure caused the error again.

Thanks
Jim
