A new firmware v3.06 has been released for Phantom 2 series. Please kindly be informed. Here are the main updates:

Overview:
a) Main controller firmware updated to v3.06.
b) Central board firmware updated to v1.0.1.32
c) DJI Vision App updated to iOS v1.0.42 and Android v1.0.52.
d) Phantom 2 PC Assistant updated to v3.2.

Main Controller - Major New Features:
a) Added two levels of battery warnings: Low Battery Level Warning and Critical Battery Level Warning. Setup these warnings using either the DJI Phantom Assistant or DJI Vision App.

For Phantom 2 Vision or Vision+ users:
When flying the DJI Phantom 2 Vision or Vision+, the system will automatically track your current flight height and distance. It will also calculate the amount of battery power required to return home safely. Watch the battery indicator bar at the top of the screen. When the battery power falls below the Low Battery Level Warning threshold (yellow area), a notice will popup. It is recommended that you choose “Go Home” to return the aircraft to the home point safely. If you choose “Cancel”, the aircraft will continue flying until the Critical Battery Level Warning is triggered. If no choice is made, the aircraft will return home automatically after ten seconds. The motors will power off automatically once the Phantom lands.

If the Low Battery Level Warning (yellow area) is canceled, the Phantom will continue normal flight. If the battery power falls below the Critical Battery Level Warning threshold (red area), the Phantom will automatically start to descend. While descending, you may push up on the throttle to slow the descent and navigate the aircraft to a more suitable landing area. The motors will power off automatically once the Phantom lands.

For Phantom 2 users, this function is enabled by default, so Auto Go-home will be activated if the battery level reaches a Low Battery Level Warning. When returning, you may get control back using the remote controller and continue normal flight. If the battery power falls below the Critical Battery Level Warning threshold (red area), the Phantom will automatically start to descend. While descending, you may push up on the throttle to slow the descent and navigate the aircraft to a more suitable landing area. The motors will power off automatically once the Phantom lands.

b) When the battery level reaches a Critical Battery Level Warning, the aircraft will automatically land. The motors will power off after landing.
c) The speed of descent will be automatically adjusted based on current altitude.
d) Minimum adjustable height limit set to 20m.
e) Magnetic declination value stored to improve flight course accuracy.
f) New fix for a video signal problem that affected some Phantom 2 Vision users.
g) Various bug fixes.

DJI Vision App - Major New Features:
a) The current battery level can now be viewed real-time through the DJI Vision App, via a battery level indicator bar near the top of the screen.
b) “Hotline” feature for easy access to post-sales supports.
c) “Compass Calibration” feature added.
d) “Low Battery Auto Go Home” feature added.

Phantom 2 PC Assistant - Major New Features:
a) Added Japanese as a supported language.

Notes:
1. The main controller firmware must be updated to v3.06 to use all of the above features.
2. For Phantom 2 users, be aware that aircraft will now automatically return to the Home point on Low Battery Level Warning. If you wish to disable the auto go-home feature, launch DJI Phantom Assistant, enter “Battery Settings” section and de-select the “Go-Home” option.

e) Magnetic declination value stored to improve flight course accuracy.

I hope I am reading this correct.

Hmm. My DJI Assistant still says latest version is 3.04 :(

Ah, on Mac, that's why. Will plug in to my Win laptop.

updated - Android App and Windows Phantom Assistance.
Did basic Calibration.
Its almost midnight.
WIll do test tommorow when i get the chance.

Great. the new Android Vision App is now not allowing installation on a tablet. Stating my device (Galaxy Tab s) is not compatible. Time to extract the .apk from my phone :(

Done. Installed. If anyone needs the .apk drop me a PM with your email address :)

**** i just toke the bird apart.
Its intestines scattered over the hobby table.
Well i am going to have a complete new bird then.
All back and new software ( if it works ).
I wouldn't update normally but the adjustable RTH hight is appealing.
Can someone confirm if the RTH hight can be adjusted now instead of the standard 20m ( if it was below that hight wen initiated ).

I hope I am reading this correct and the RTH height can now be adjusted!!!
No apparent way to adjust RTH height.
I think this is a change to the Limits so you can now set your Maximum height limit as low as 20m

Nothing there for mac users. Wonder if it will auto update when plugged in to the aircraft? Will have to wait until this evening. Also the name is 3.2 on the download page of DJI.com

Have they done this before with Mac? or do they normally update both at the same time?

I don't remember. I got my P2V+ just as the 3.04 was coming out and I never upgraded to it. I may go to the 3.06 though - not sure if I'll wait for Mac files or not.

Only thing that changed for P2s was battery limits - RTH at critical (2nd warning) Word of caution - save earlier version of assistant - in the new version you CANNOT change your battery warning levels.

We have two windows computers that we only use for downloading movies, I hate to plug anything important into them. I tried to update on one of them, but it said it couldn't install the driver software... windows... thanks a ton!

Strange they did not update the user manual version number, june is 1.2 and so is the new one.

Pity I just printed off the manual this morning (old one ) :)

How long for mac assistant update to come through ?

Is it my imagination but the iPhone app has calibrate compass on it in settings. Was that there before ?
