DJI Go and PT2/PhantomRC apps

I started with a P2V+ and installed the PT2 and PhantomRC software on my Mac. Now that I have a P3P, do I still need to keep the old desktop software to maintain my Phantom and Transmitter of is all the configuration done through the DJI Go app?

The GO app is all you need.

That desktop software is not compatible with the Phantom 3.
