Picked up the kit today for use with my Phantom 2 (not the vision). I was really looking forward to trying it out with the Zeiss Cinemizer but that was not to be. Out the of the box I could get no LED indication on the transmitter. Cable seems to be OK so it must be DOA. We'll see how the service is returning it for a replacement.

I'm an old (ancient) Ham, so I always bench test tx/rcv equipment before mounting it. Power was from a LiPo 1800 ma.
And I did have the kit completely assembled with antennae. The receiver gave me a good albeit "Snow" signal to the monitor and displayed the proper LED indications.
The TX never gave any indication on the LED and the integral fan motor did not function (although this may be temperature controlled.)
