Hi folks,

I was flying my Phantom 2 over a beach the other day and had a hard landing. This resulted in sand getting into the motors of the Phantom and the gimbal. To make matters worse, there is a lot of iron in the sand (it's volcanic) and it's sticking to every magnetised surface. I think I can figure out how to clean the Phantom motors, but the gimbal would seem a little more complicated. Does anyone have any experience in disassembling and cleaning the Zenmuse H3-3D GoPro Gimbal?

Thanks in advance
Scorpio

Beyond canned air and isopropyl I'm not sure what you can do

I've been able to undo some screws and remove some parts, but I don't seem to be able to open the motors. Are they a press-fit?
