I was purchasing a phantom 4 that was being demoed to me and when the person was flying it, the app displayed "Safe to fly (GPS)".

The next day I went to go fly it in the same spot and the display reads "Ready to fly (GPS)".

My question is what is the difference between the two?

During my flight I had 17 satellites. Another thing to note is that the "follow-me" mode would not work because it was in "ready to fly" and not "safe to fly"

Thank you

DJI Go is changing UI frequently, it has become difficult to track textual changes. Now you say you see both the words Safe and Ready, I think I should carefully look into it.

What version of the GO app was used for demo, and what version are you using? If different, this may explain the wording.
Regarding "Follow Me"...have you enabled Multiple Flight Modes in Main Controller Settings? You need to do this before it will work.

Duplicate post.
Please don't ask same question in multiple forums.

Latest DJI Go FW (3.0.0) has following
states:

Ready to Go ( Vision ): VPS ON, not enough Satellites in P mode
Ready to Go ( GPS ): Enough GPS satellites seen in P mode
No Positioning (ATTI ): No VPS mode and not enough satellites in P mode or in ATTI mode
