DFW Flying Areas...Frustrated!

Looking to fly anywhere in DFW area up to an hour drive away from the North Dallas area? Recommendations Anyone? Seem like everywhere I look there are restrictions. Im wanting to go somewhere legal, safe, and fun. Thanks in advance!

What sort of restrictions are you confronted with? My situation is I'm in the middle of the radius of 5 helipads. If I go North a couple of miles I have an International airport and South by the same distance two regional airports (towered). I call the LifeFlight dispatcher 30 minutes before my flights to give him a heads up...not to receive permission. They are ALWAYS very appreciative. By the way, WELCOME.

@earlyriser - I’m in the same boat. I find tiny patches around DFW that do not seem to have restrictions, but they are very few and far between. I live in Mansfield/Arlington area. Recently, made a cross country road trip to Orlando and was STILL confronted with entirely too many restrictions. It’s kinda nuts.
