Deactivate the exposure compensation dial

Hi all

Came home today and saw that I by accident had been fiddeling with the exposure compensation button.
All my footage was underexposed.
Is there an easy way to disable this button - or do I have to use the "gaffer"- method?

There is no way to deactivate it.
