According to some news reports the FAA received recommendations that, in part, would use damage classifications instead of weight classifications for commercial drone operations.
A damage scale would have to be developed and then tested by the drone manufacturers in order to place the UAVs in the proper damage category...
Really, did it need to get that complicated?
