Could my p3 advanced remote be bad?

When i turn on my remote there is No beep.

the light is steady green.

When i insert a card into the reader to update nothing happens

I see no indications of a wifi signature/transmission on any of my
cell phones or tablets?

any help would be appreciated

The steady green light means your RC can see your quad. (If you want to update the RC, best to leave the quad switched off)
You do not update the RC with a card. You use the GO app instead.

Do you have any device (phone, iPad etc) connected to the RC?

i have been connecting a sd card to the usb port so that is not the way but rather with the go app? i will try that thanks.

Is the controller supposed to xmit a wifi signal to be seen on a android device? i just viewed the reply on this question..thank you

P3A doesn't work on standard wifi and you can't see it on your mobile.

I suggest you read the procedure to update from DJI site before attempting to update any FW.

If you are updating to latest FW, both RC and P3 should be updated separately and their update procedures are different. Read on DJI site.

The RC light is normally a steady green immediately after a good upgrade, but should revert to red once you reboot the RC, and the AC is not powered up. Can't explain that one.

I guess since my RC does NOT beep when I turn it on, light is STEADY GREEN without the bird turned on, will not pair/bind, and does NOTHING when I connect to usb with the latest BIN file from DJI that I have a bad controller. I guess the next step is to get another controller. thanks everyone
