Controller crashed, trying to update

Status on controller blinks green and no lights on for battery indicator (battery was full when started) .New phantom 3 standard, app said to update, tried but said it failed, tried again and went 58% and said failed again, now controller will not link to phantom and controller has blinking green status light and none on battery indicator?

yes, went back next day and tried up dating again (using ipad this time) and it worked this time. don't know what happen.
