controller battery charge

there are a lot of topics on here about the flight batteries, which i am learning a lot..
But what about the remote controller battery ? SHOULD I TOP THAT OFF EVERY TIME I FLY ?
it doesnt run down much with 1 flight.

There's is no need to top it off. You should be able to fly 20-30 times before you need to charge it again.

Anyone have good info on how to maximize the controller battery life? I think I heard it's best to run it down low, and charge it up full, but it's a similar battery to the ones for the P3A, and they need to be 35 to 50% for long term storage, based on some video I saw. I think that guy said to keep the controller in that same range for long term, but I don't know how to discharge it. Thanks for your help.
