Control Antenna on P2V Missing Little Whip

I've been noticing some spotty control signal issues at distance so I checked the antennas on the P2V and noticed one is missing the little whip that comes out of the fat part. Any ideas how it fell off or how to fix without replacing the whole antenna?

UNREAL! I just did a quick flight in my back yard trying to tune my RP gimbal a bit and lost control signal at close range. It returned home and I took control and landed. Checked the control antennas and now the other one has fallen off.

Calling DJI now to see if they will send me a new board with antennas on the house. This should be a warranty issue. WTF!

I know it's a long shot on DJI helping but I'm going to at least try.

I'm starting to feel like I'm throwing good money after bad at this point with my P2V.

I promise you this they will send you nothing!
You either send it to them to be fixed (which they more than likely will charge you for)
and you pay UPS approx. 45.00 to ship or you just purchase a new one from any of the drone dealers selling them
or get a fpvlr pinwheel antenna and install and have even better than stock range

http://fpvlr.com/shop/index.php?route=p ... duct_id=56 upgrade just order cable as well

I figured as much. I'm considering selling this one and my rotorpixel, and making the move to the plus.

I already ordered this to fix and will most likely have my P2V and RP on ebay in the near future. I'm tired of tinkering and just want smooth trouble free flight, although I see there are some issues with the plus as well.

Response from DJI:

"You need a new receiver for the Phantom 2 Vision and you can purchase a replacement part from a DJI products dealer."

Well no chit... I guess nothing is covered under a 1 year warranty. What is our warranty, anyone know the specifics?

My reply:

I understand I need the replacement part. Is this not covered under warranty? I've only had the P2V for a couple of months now. Why are mission critical parts falling off?

If this is considered part of the "frame", the I guess there's no warranty. The warranty varies greatly depending on which part of the Phantom you're talking about. See the chart below, from http://www.dji.com/service.

I replaced the 5.8 GHz receiver and antennas on the P2V, returning the control distance back to its normal range (unreachable before losing FPV).

I hope this is something that won't need to be replaced every few months. I'm blaming the antennas falling off on vibrations from the motors/props which run down the legs.
