Confirmation of application for waiver?

I've applied for 2 waivers this week. I completely understand it may take time to process the request. But my concern is that I've never received any kind of email that acknowledges my application for the request.

Is this normal for everyone else who has applied?

You'll likely get a conformation after someone actually looks at the application, sort of like logging it into the system. That's what happened with my authorization request. May take a week or 2 depending on their workload.
