Compass dance

Hi, does the first part of the dance have to be with the nose of the phantom in front of you or away from you and why is the second part of the compass dance have to be with the nose down, i have always done it with the nose up, enlighten me please

Thanks for the video, i was just wondering why the nose or the front of the phantom has to be on the bottom on the second part of the dance, if i have itupwards will it interefere with calibration, would it fly bad?

Not really sure. But what I do know is that the compass is directionally sensitive. On my first days with the Phantom I was turning clockwise (instead of counter-clockwise) and I was wondering why the calibration kept failing. So I guess the Phantom knows it's orientation all the time.
