Can you do video and stills at the same time? I mean, shoot video and when you see something on screen you'd like to have a photo of, just press the photo button without interrupting the video shooting?

Or do these operations have to be entirely separate? For instance, if you're shooting an all around view of an object, do you have to go once round for the video then round a second time for the photos?

You cannot do both at the same time.

You can however with Windows movie maker do stills from any of the frames. Works good. Kind of a work around but it works. It lets you do a snapshot of what you select and save it to - file.

this works very well and so instead of ruining a good video shoot to take a picture you know you can get the perfect shot in movie maker which is a great free editing program.
