Hi all.
Got a Chinese gimbal and generally, it works fine.
I had a flight today where several minutes in it went crazy though.
All connections seem fine - it was a bit windy but that's all.
Any one have tips?
Also, should it be balanced and sitting level when powered off? Should I use a coin or similar as a weight to make it sit level when unpowered?

The gimbal may have went a little crazy in mid-flight due to the wind possibly pushing it a little hard....my hand-held unit occasionally does that if I nudge it a little hard.

When powered off the gimbal will not sit level, it will naturally lie at an angle so nothing to worry about.

In your gimbals software you can "up" the power to correct for wind. (IE: PIDs)

Thanks guys. It seems OK at the moment but I just don't have a huge amount of confidence that it won't screw up when it next flies...

Anyone have a guide to PID tuning etc?

No guide, sorry landwomble but maybe take a peek at this video of a guy who sells some great hand-held unit's that I use when out and about.
Roll forward to about 52 seconds and you can see the settings....I inputted those settings into the BGC software with my hand-held attached and it works great....so these may also work for your quad's gimbal, worth a try at least.

Edit to Add, video link that I forgot first time around....sorry :D
