this is a total new'b question but how do you check your Satellites if you're flying the phantom 2 WITHOUT the H3-3D gimbal?

easily seen on the fpv monitor but i am flying it naked with no gimbal or fpv/iosd. My phantom 2 goes through its warm up sequence. then finds its satellites. flashes green man times, then goes into green on solid of about 2 seconds, then off 1 second on 2 sec.....
so how do i know how many satellites i have connected/????

You can't always tell the exact number without an iOSD, but the LED flashing will tell you the following:

The "red-red-red-green" sequence indicates you have <5 satellites locked for GPS.

red-red-green = 5 sats locked
red-green = 6 sats locked
green only = >6 sats locked

The Phantom manual explains all of that, I'd highly recommend checking it out (for everything, not just the LED indicators).

The manual is vague and isn't very descriptive. as you probably know having read it..
I was flying in phantom 2 mode and their LED indicators are less complex.

i have iosd and fpv but i am curious how to check when i am not flying them or the gimbal
