can you use follow me mode with a gps bracelet or something like that ?

hello everyone i just bought the phantom 3 standard and i love it awesome quad but while looking through the dji page here: http://www.dji.com/intelligent-flight-modes
the page is showing a guy skiing while having the phantom following him, well i want to do exactly the same and as i imagine i don't think that the guy in the picture has a remote shoved up in his backpack so what i am wondering is is there a way to use the follow me mode without the remote with something like the gps bracelet i mentioned above, thanks in advance.

I'm not certain on this, but I think you can do it using Litchi. Try googling Litchi and Leash -(or magic leash?). Hope someone with more knowledge will chip in.

I've not gotten that follow me mode to work yet!

It relies on the phone GPS as well as the UAV GPS. It can be troublesome.

Also, be aware that many ski resorts are drone free. Just a heads up. (At least I know the ones near me)

Autopilot will do it (using free Airspace companion app). Even allows for changes in altitude so can track a target up or down hill while automatically maintaining fixed height above.
