Have you looked on eBay? Most places will ship to the UK by the looks

I did look on ebay - it appears that none of the sellers selling the short cable are willing to ship to the UK. I would paid shipping whatever the cost but they are not shipping..

You might find that one foot isn't quite enough when you account for connector bends and tilt adjustments. I got one of the contractible cables.

Bad information - I have one & one foot is the perfect length.

Doesn't it depend on your tablet?
I tried the 1ft on an Air 2 and had to keep the tablet off center so the cable could reach.
Just ordered a 1.5 ft cable which will be much better in my case.

Well it is strong cable due to the braiding. As I use a ipad mini it is perfect. Short and tidy I wouldn't want to use a ipad air 2 -> 9.7 inches is to heavy for me to hold.
