Wondering if there are any issues carrying on full batteries on airplane? Might not have time to discharge and I don't see a real issue if they're safely kept with me

It's okay to keep them charged. Here are some other things to keep in mind:

FAA on batteries

Btw, a P3 battery is 68Wh
That makes me wonder what the consensus is on the Phantom 3 batteries. "Technically", they are their own device - power button and everything. I wonder if they can be considered as being installed in a device (they do, after all, have a semi protective housing, covers terminals) and permitted in checked baggage.

Thanks guys. Loaded my p3p and 3 batteries into my atomik rc backpack and headed to airport. Passed tsa with no problems (they just swabbed the inside for 2 seconds). Waiting to board now. Will report if batteries catch on fire!

Heading to South Caribbean on Royal Caribbean Cruise in April. Curious about this. May fly Delta or AA.

We leave in April. St. Lucia, Puerto Rico etc. Anyone ever flown there? Their drone that is?
