Can a bad camera ruin a good drone?

I have a 4k camera from my p3pro that took a bath in the local lake.
After cleaning and drying I'd like to test the camera (the drone mainboard is not responding)

Can I try my camera in a friends drone without fear of damaging his drone? I don't want to chance his drone if my camera could harm it.

Opinions? Thanks!

If you are trying to test the complete gimbal assembly, yes that you can try on friends P3P. You might need two extra Gimbal support pins as they might get torn a bit if you are not careful.

Thanks for the reply- so you don't feel I can damage his drone with my camera?

Worst outcome would be with a short or very low DCR presented by the power connector. I would test it with a multimeter first.
