any of the uk drone lads done this,whats your thoughts on it i.e is it best to get as much fly time in before going for it,or is it something a novice could do

Are you talking about the pfco courses?
I took mine last year, technical bit was easy (you need to listen and retain info), flight test was surprisingly hard. Only 3 passed on the day (from 14) but it was quite windy.

yes mate one of the lads from work went on his the other day ive been told he failed (havnt seen him yet im off work) and was a bit surprised as i thought if anyone would be ok he would be. just starting to wonder what was involved
